Color became the main character in our narrative, representing the "magic juice" powering this new technology. Drawing inspiration from 60s video art and modernist photography, we crafted a vibrant visual language using dynamic color spectrums, resulting in a film that felt both timeless and fresh.
The episode, narrated through the perspective of Amanda Gorman, beautifully captures today’s uncertainties while promoting an optimistic vision for the future. It encourages young audiences to engage in social and political activism, culminating in a powerful message about individual impact within communities.
At the 2022 Children’s and Family Emmy Awards, the series won the statue for Outstanding Short Form Program.
At BUCK, we developed a comprehensive design toolkit that included opening titles, signage, and social assets, reflecting the festival's eclectic nature. Our creative process followed three principles: Think & Wonder, Play & Explore, and Make & Make Better, fostering collaboration among team members.
I contributed through animation, bringing the new visual identity to life and celebrating the diverse artistic disciplines represented at the festival.
The campaign included site-specific designs, from massive digital displays in LA and Times Square to mural installations in Miami’s Wynwood, extending Spotify’s summer aesthetic worldwide through animations, digital screens, and vibrant visuals.
I was responsible for overseeing character design and leading a talented team of animators throughout the production process. We focused on developing a vibrant visual style and infusing humor into the narrative. By conducting animation tests, we refined our approach, ensuring that the final episodes effectively balanced comedy and storytelling within a tight timeline.
For this project with BUCK, I animated the "Clear Your Brain" video, where clusters of computer viruses overtake the screen, bringing a relatable chaos to life. Working alongside designer Kyle Strope, we developed a saturated, high-energy piece that reflects Zapier’s promise to streamline tasks so users can focus on the big picture.
